瓦斯貨車疑闖紅燈！ 騎士遭撞左眼破裂
貨車駕駛闖紅燈，撞飛騎機車的夫妻，日前台北市興隆路發生一起嚴重事故，載瓦斯的小貨車，行駛在下坡路段，經過十字路口時，疑似沒注意前方是紅燈，搶快追撞雙載的潘姓夫妻，兩名傷者全身是傷、顱內出血，送醫治療，先生的左眼破裂，只剩單眼的視力。
小貨車直直往前，砰一聲，撞到一部機車，車上兩個人從坐墊上摔翻落地，動也不動，放慢速度再看一次，載滿瓦斯的駕駛經過路口，明明亮紅燈卻沒減速，撞上雙載騎士後，急忙下車查看。
附近店家：「也很大力也很慘，兩個騎摩托車的都倒了，試圖想要爬起來，但沒有爬起來。」
記者李潔：「事故地點就發生在這個十字路口，當時機車綠燈直行，沒想到遭到小貨車衝撞，而騎士被撞飛之後，左眼球當場破裂。」
警方調查，11日上午8點多，台北市興隆路四段，57歲潘姓騎士當天上午載著妻子出門，眼看綠燈 直直往前，偏偏45歲林姓駕駛，經過路口闖紅燈，這一撞 夫妻倆顱內出血，潘姓騎士左眼慘遭摘除。
附近店家：「剛設紅綠燈，在以前還沒設紅綠燈，雖然有(車禍)，好像都沒有那麼嚴重過，以前是裝閃黃燈的時候，大家經過這裡，都知道要看車子一下，(現在)反正一方看到有綠燈，綠燈那一方一定很快，紅燈忽略的那一方那就更慘了。」
回到事故地點，這窄窄的巷子 過去是閃燈，這幾年才變為紅綠燈設計，但附近居民指出，這紅綠燈與大路口原本的燈號靠得太近，常有人貪方便直直闖越，反而更危險。依照法令，闖紅燈開罰戰利品活動商品1800到5400元，但罰錢事小，再看一次撞擊瞬間，小貨車下坡行駛，卻疑似沒注意燈號，在路口撞上夫妻騎士，傷者左眼破裂摘除，成了一輩子難以復原的傷痛。
MLB／紅雀隊大進補 簽下響尾蛇明星一壘手
為了補強一壘戰力，紅雀隊今(6)日宣布，將右投Luke Weaver、捕手Carson Kelly，以及內野手 Andy Young送至響尾蛇隊，以換取明星級一壘手Paul Goldschmidt加入。而響尾蛇也從紅雀手上拿到明年競技平衡選秀B輪的權力。
31歲的Goldschmidt，過去6年接入選全明星賽，今年球季繳出2成90打擊率、33轟、83分打點，其中35支二壘安打，以及選到90次保送，OPS值(整體攻擊指數)0.922，在國家聯盟排名第三。
紅雀本季以88勝74敗作收，在國聯中區排名第3，已經連續3季未打入季後賽的紅雀，是自1997到1999期間以來最長的一次。紅雀總裁John Mozeliak在聲明中表示：「休季期間我們一直忙於補強我們的陣容，而今天很高興在此宣布，我們得到一個頂級球員。」
