Each book comes with a disc containing video demonstrations, a quick introduction to SolidWorks eBook, and all the part files used in the book.

These concepts are demonstrated in each section of this book. Using the graphics-based tools of SolidWorks Simulation can help reduce the dependency on mathematics to teach these concepts substantially. The contents of this book have been written to match the contents of most mechanics of materials textbooks.

台北馬拉松明開跑 吸引菁英參賽
全台年度馬拉松盛事│「二○一八台北馬拉松」將於明(九)日在市府廣場前盛大開跑。昨(七)日在台北世界貿易中心展覽館三館舉行賽前記者會，除邀請多位國際菁英選手出席外，市府體育局長李再立、中華民國田徑協會理事長葉政彥、中華民國路跑協會理事長范姜瑞、富邦金控資深副總經理陳昭如及台灣阿迪達斯運動行銷部副理何旭平等人亦受邀出席。
二○一八台北馬拉松今年將邁向銅標認證，目標成為台灣第一個取得國際田徑總會(IAAF)認證的「市區馬拉松」，未來將朝世界六大馬看齊。今年吸引更多國內外菁英選手前來參賽，其中女子選手包含國內女子半馬紀錄保持人謝千鶴、來自中國的二○一八北京馬拉松女子組冠軍何引麗及多位國際好手；男子選手則以肯亞選手KIMUTAI最為突出。
二○一八台北馬拉松賽即將開跑，台北市政府也熱烈支持並針對賽前記者會，發布「採訪通知」新聞稿：「請媒體朋友出示名片入館，歡迎媒體朋友們踴躍蒞臨採訪！」；但這樣的大型國際賽事的記者會，對來採訪的記者，主辦單位以「歧視」般差別待遇接待記者，除不發給「媒體人員」掛牌外，並限制記者只能在「記者會區」外觀看，令記者遺憾│「未爭光、先丟臉」！
